Boss Moms Goal Setting Series Part 1- Reflect

Hi Boss Moms, Can you believe we are already in December? We are wrapping up what is left of 2016, and in the blink of an eye, it will be 2017! I really feel like I was just planning my 2016 goals, and here I am already, staring down the end of the year and looking back at all that I've accomplished. (And all that I haven't accomplished yet ...) Where did you think you'd be by now? What did you have planned for this year, way back in January? How far have you come? When Boss Moms was formed, I wanted to create a space that wouldn’t just make you more successful, but would also bring you closer to your goals and dreams and make you happier Boss Mom. And that is why I'm writing this newsletter - I want to give you more ideas, inspiration, and content that will help you make progress on the things that matter. For the next few days I am going to be giving you a little guidance to help you think through your plans for 2017. I want to help you plan your best year ever. What's the best thing that happened this year?

In both your personal and professional life, what accomplishments make you the proudest? What brought you the most joy?

What goals did you achieve?

What goals did you miss?

Now let's go a bit deeper. List three things in your professional and personal life that are really going well right now.

In what areas are you really kicking butt?

Recognize all the ways you rock! List three things in your professional and personal life that could use some improvement. It's important to be honest, but not get bogged down here, just acknowledge it and move on.

What are the three biggest lessons you learned this year? Take a look at the things that are catching on like wildfire, and what's not so hot.

Write these lessons down and then incorporate those lessons into your plans for 2017!
